About the TGMRC
We are a small group of model railway enthusiasts. The club was founded January 31st 2008 by a few like minded enthusiasts; the club is based at the Grappenhall Community Centre on Bellhouse Lane, Grappenhall, Warrington, Cheshire, WA4 2SG.
The room covers an area 45ft x 12ft and holds the clubs 4 fixed/static layouts. The club is looking for new members – beginners or experts – to help operate and develop the layouts
We hold multiple Open Days and Open Weekends each year, and are available for Schools, Community and Social Groups/Scouts/Girl Guides to arrange a private visit. Family groups and Donations are also welcome
The first two static layouts are in 00 gauge - one analogue and one digital. These are both connected to each other, using an interchange. Our third static layout is an "N" gauge, this circuit as been designed on a continuous circuit with an end to end suburban line. We also have an automated tramway and 009 layout.
Visitors are welcome to take their own locos and trains to try them out on the club layouts during open evenings, by appointment.
